Montage #2

This montage has a picture of Niagara Falls as its background. This is my ‘realistic’ montage, although some of its aspects are still in the surreal category. I took pictures of my friends jumping into the pool and added them into the picture as if they were jumping into the water below the waterfall. I wanted to make it seem as though this were a normal, everyday occurrence, especially with the swimmer in the water and the couple canoeing in the background. I tried not to tamper too much with the colors or hues of this montage because I wanted to give it a more natural look and feel.

Montage #1

This montage has the Eiffel Tower in the center of a field of grains. This is my ‘fantastic’ montage since it gives off such a surreal effect. In this montage, the Eiffel Tower is breaking in half; the upper half of the tower is crashing into a vibrantly colored hot air balloon. When the viewer looks at this, they will be able to tell that this is my ‘fantastic’ montage due to all of the manipulations and different sizes of photos I used. The girl in the picture is three different sizes, adding to the surreal effect. I tampered with the hue and saturation of the hot air balloon, accentuating its colors, making its colors even brighter.
